Tegan Fandrick
Director
Tegan Fandrick is a proud member of Cold Lake First Nations, located in Treaty 6 territory. Raised in the small community of Rocky Mountain House, she deeply values the importance of meaningful community connections. With a true passion for new experiences, she has lived coast-to-coast across Turtle Island.
Tegan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Human Services, which ignited her commitment to supporting Indigenous students. She has held positions in Family Wellness as well as in Indigenous Education, where she worked closely with students and families to foster academic success, a sense of belonging, and holistic well-being. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Education through the Aboriginal Teacher Education Program (ATEP) at the University of Alberta.
Tegan is passionate about creating learning spaces that are not only inclusive, but also reflective of Indigenous voices, histories, and worldviews. She believes deeply in the power of representation in the classroom — that when Indigenous students see themselves reflected in their teachers and curriculum, they are empowered to thrive academically, culturally, and personally. As a board member, Tegan is honoured to advocate for educational experiences that are rooted in Indigenous identity and culture.
