Angie Zinghini-Flynn
Educational Assistant
My name is Angie Zinghini-Flynn and I have the great pleasure to be joining the team at Roots of Resilience Charter School.
I am a member of Saddle Lake First Nation but I grew up in Entwistle, Alberta, where I spent my summers swimming at the Pembina River and in the winter ice skating. I grew up learning to cook and hunt with my mother and uncles. I also spent many winter days on the lake ice fishing. As a Cree person I always enjoyed attending the yearly Pow Wow at Saddle Lake, Alberta, with my family. My Cree background has always been important to me and I'm excited to learn and make new connections through this great opportunity.
I am a mother of two amazing boys and have been raising my family in Drayton Valley. I love to see them embrace our Indigenous culture and their passion for all things nature and animals. My children are my everything and I am excited that we get to learn and grow together at Roots of Resilience Charter School.
I can't wait to start my new journey and look forward to meeting all the new students very soon!
