Cameron Wolsey

Grade 5/6 Teacher

My name is Cam Wolsey. I was born and raised in Drayton Valley and went to the University of Saskatchewan for my teaching degree. I was able to learn and enhance my passion for teaching, along with reinforcing positive values and expectations for my students. Over the course of my career I have had the opportunity to work in a number of different educational settings including split grades, foundational life skills, and self-directed learning. These opportunities have shaped my teaching strategies.

I am excited to take my next step in enhancing my understanding of Indigenous education. I am keen to take what I have learned and apply it to my work at Roots of Resilience Charter School in a way that benefits my students, supporting them in becoming their best selves.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy staying home and spending some quality time with my family. I also love being active, always finding something to do. Baseball and Volleyball are my favorite right now!
