Chelsea Cattroll

Chelsea is a member of the Nisichawayasihk First Nation and joins Roots of Resilience Charter School with experience as a Land-based Learning Educator, Physical Education Teacher, and most recently a Land-based Learning Specialist. She is passionate about helping students discover the plants, animals, and ecosystems that share the place they call home. Chelsea believes that when students know what lives in their own backyard, they develop a sense of connection, responsibility and care for the land that can last generations.

She is also a strong believer of the power of movement and play on the land, recognizing that outdoor experiences foster joy, wellbeing and meaningful connections to local places and communities.

Outside of school, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her 3 horses, 3 dogs and tending to her garden. If you have horses or a garden at home, chances are you and Chelsea will have plenty to talk about!

Chelsea is excited to join the Roots of Resilience Community and looks forward to learning, exploring and growing alongside students and families.
