Finance Director

I am a Bookkeeper who has worked in various areas over the past 30 years. For the past two years, I have owned and operated my own bookkeeping firm. Prior to this, I worked as a bookkeeper and income tax preparer for a local accounting firm, where my duties included full cycle bookkeeping for 32 different companies, payroll, personal income tax preparation and some corporate tax preparation.

Prior to my full time bookkeeping career, I also owned and operated various different businesses along with my husband, which included a video rental store, gift shop and ice cream shop and a very successful oilfield trucking company, where I also looked after the bookkeeping, staff management and supply management. I worked for 5 years as the Executive Director of the Beaverlodge and District Victim Services Unit, where I managed the volunteer advocates, assisted with training of volunteers, completed budgeting and grant proposals. I have also worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Fox Creek School and the Beaverlodge Elementary School.

I am the mother of two children and two bonus children and I am now a grandma/granny depending on who is talking to me, to 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

I am very honoured to be working in the education sector, as I feel that education is the bedrock of any child's future.
