Kaitlyn Kolt

English Language Arts Teacher

I am Kaitlyn Kolt! I am beyond excited to be joining RRCS this fall! I was born and raised in Drayton Valley and received my Bachelor of Education through Red Deer College and the University of Alberta! One of my life long passions has been learning about and embracing the Indigenous culture and having a school like RRSC in town is a dream come true!

I have worked in a variety of education settings and it has taught me how much I love schools that thrive on kindness, empathy, teamwork, and embracing diversity. I have experience in preK - grade 12 and my favourite course to teach is English. I am so excited to share my love of learning with the staff, students, and families!

When I’m not teaching, I am raising my one year old son and making memories with my husband, family, and dogs. I am a professional photographer and I love traveling to the mountains, crafting, and watching hockey! I love volunteering with organizations and this fall will be my 14th season volunteering for the Drayton Valley Thunder hockey team!
