Office Manager

My name is Tammy Schoenthal and I am so beyond thrilled to be joining Roots of Resilience Charter School. My roots run deep in this area as I have lived here most of my life, along with my family as my husband, children, and grandchildren are Métis.

Many generations of my family have lived in this place that I call home and I have always felt connected to the land and the people. I have over 32 years of office experience as a corporate secretary, office manager, and a school secretary for over 21 years with a 4 year break in between. I have also coached, volunteered in my community and schools whenever the opportunity has arisen. I enjoy working with people for our community to achieve positive outcomes that benefit everyone.

I look forward to learning along with the RRCS students and staff in this land-based environment as a never ending circle of knowledge. Students and staff teach me so much. The opportunity to work with this wonderful team we are building makes my heart burst. The students at Roots of Resilience are the gifts we get to work with each and every day.

I will be so happy to be the first person you see when you enter our school. Our circle will be full of learning, opportunity, growth, knowledge, and connection.

When I am not in the school office, I enjoy family, friends, walking/running, fires, singing, swimming, yoga, rugby, coaching, camping, travelling. I cherish my love for nature and time with my family/grandchildren. Roots of Resilience Charter School will be my path to more professional and personal growth along with the inspiration of working with our students and staff. I am so grateful for this new chapter to begin at Roots of Resilience Charter School.
